Top fixes — biggest wins first

Automated audit — a starting point, not a full manual review. It checks the single URL you entered and the most common technical issues; it doesn't judge content quality, backlinks, or strategy.

We only store your URL & result if you email yourself the report. No spam.

Free SEO Audit: Find What Is Actually Slowing You Down

Why Use This Free SEO Audit?

Most free SEO audit tools are not free. They show you a score, then put the actual findings behind a signup form and a sales call two days later. The Parix.ai SEO audit returns the full report immediately — no account, no email required, no waiting.

It checks three things on any URL you enter: page speed, Core Web Vitals, and an on-page SEO checklist — then orders every issue by how much it actually costs you. That ordering matters more than the score itself, because most sites have three or four problems doing real damage and thirty warnings that change nothing.

Two Things This Audit Does Not Do

It checks one URL, not your whole site. Run it separately on your homepage and your two or three most important pages. Templates differ, and a fast homepage tells you nothing about a slow service page.

It judges technical health, not content. A fast page with nothing worth reading will score well here and still fail in search. Speed removes an obstacle; it does not create a reason to visit.

    Core Web Vitals

Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) measures how long the main content takes to appear. Under 2.5 seconds is good. This is usually the one that fails, and the cause is almost always an oversized hero image — run it through the Image Compressor and the problem usually disappears.

Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) measures how much the page jumps while loading. Under 0.1 is good. It fails when images load without reserved space — the most irritating problem for real visitors.

Interaction to Next Paint (INP) measures how quickly the page responds to a tap or click. Under 200ms is good. Heavy JavaScript is the usual cause.

    On-Page SEO

Title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, image alt text, canonical tags and indexability. A surprising number of sites fail on at least one — usually a missing meta description or two pages sharing a title. The Title Tag Length Checker and Meta Description Generator fix those in minutes.

What Is a Good PageSpeed Score?

Above 90 is strong. Between 50 and 90 needs work. Below 50 usually means something structural is wrong.

But treat the number as a summary, not a target. A site scoring 62 with three fixable issues is in better shape than one scoring 78 with a deep architectural problem, and chasing a perfect 100 is rarely a good use of a day.

Why Your Mobile Score Is Worse Than Desktop

Almost every site scores lower on mobile, and it is not a flaw in the test. Mobile is measured on a slower simulated connection with less processing power, which is much closer to what your visitors experience. Since most traffic is mobile, that is the score to optimise for.

    Does Site Speed Affect SEO?

Yes, in two ways, and the second is larger.

Directly, through Core Web Vitals, which are a confirmed ranking signal — one signal among many, so speed alone will not lift a weak page.

Indirectly, and this is where the real damage happens. Slow pages lose visitors before they read anything. Those visitors bounce back to the results and click a competitor, and that behaviour feeds into how your page is judged over time. You are not penalised for being slow so much as out-competed.

Why Is My Website Slow? The Usual Causes

Unoptimised images. A 4MB hero that should be 200KB. Most common cause, easiest fix.

Render-blocking resources. CSS and JavaScript loading before the page can draw.

Too many plugins. Each adds a fraction of a second, and sites accumulate them quietly.

No caching. Every visitor triggers a full rebuild of a page that has not changed.

Slow hosting. The floor under everything else.

    How to Improve Website Speed

Work down the report from the top and stop when the remaining items stop mattering.

    1. Compress and convert images to WebP.
    2. Defer non-critical JavaScript.
    3. Enable page and browser caching.
    4. Remove unused plugins.
    5. Reserve space for images and embeds.
    6. Re-run the audit and confirm the numbers moved.

That last step is the one people skip. Fixes that look correct sometimes do nothing measurable, and you only find out by testing.

    Who Uses It

Site owners who suspect they are slow but cannot say why. Marketers handed a PageSpeed screenshot and asked what to do about it. Developers checking a page before it ships. Pair it with the XML Sitemap Generator, the Robots.txt Generator and the Meta Tag Generator. Our web development team builds sites that pass these checks from day one.
