A resume that survives the software

Most resume templates are designed to look good, not to survive an Applicant Tracking System. Columns, icons and graphics can turn into scrambled text the moment a parser reads the file.

Fill in your details section by section and watch it take shape live. The structure stays simple and standard, so the output parses reliably instead of losing content in translation.

Describe results, not duties

“Responsible for social media” tells a reader nothing about whether you were any good at it. The same role, described by what actually happened, tells them everything.

  • Where you have numbers — percentages, amounts, team sizes, timeframes — use them.
  • Where you do not have a hard number, describe the concrete outcome rather than the job description you were handed.
  • This matters more than any formatting choice, because it is the part a human reads once the software has passed you through.

Layout choices that actually matter

Three of them, and the first is the single most common reason a strong application never reaches a human.

  • Keep contact information as plain text, never inside a graphic or text box — that is the most common parsing failure there is.
  • Use standard section headings (Experience, Education, Skills) rather than creative alternatives the parser will not recognise.
  • Stick to one column for the body. Sidebars are exactly where information gets lost.

A summary that earns a second look

Skip the generic “hardworking professional seeking opportunities” opener — it says nothing an employer can use, and every other applicant has written it too.

  • Lead with your role, your years of relevant experience, and one concrete strength or result.
  • Three lines is usually enough.
  • Its job is to make a recruiter keep reading — not to summarise your entire career.
Three lines, in this order
  1. 1Your roleWhat you are, plainly.
  2. 2Years of relevant experienceRelevant, not total.
  3. 3One concrete resultWith a number if you have one.

Everything stays in your browser

Your details are used only to generate the document. They are not stored on our servers, and there is no account to create first.

  • Which matters: a resume contains your address, your phone number and your current employer.
  • Export straight to PDF when you are done — the file is produced on your device.
  • Nothing to delete afterwards, because nothing was kept.

The short version

Four numbers worth keeping

Why Parix.ai gives this away

A rejection with no explanation is often a parsing failure rather than a judgement, and nobody tells you that. A builder that produces a readable file costs us nothing to run, which is why there is no paywall and no sign-up.

Build my resume

Who uses it

Anyone applying through an online portal, and career changers in particular — the structure prompts for outcomes in each role, which is how transferable experience becomes visible when the job titles do not match.

Check it before you send

Run the draft against a real job description with the ATS Resume Checker to catch keyword gaps and formatting risk, and see how roles are typically phrased with the AI Job Description Generator.

Why plain beats designed

A designed resume is for the human who reads it second. A parseable one is for the software that reads it first. Only one of those two can reject you without looking.
